How did it started?
Tesoros de Colombia launched several conservation initiatives over a decade ago with the goal of protecting the last wild populations of endangered native poison frogs.
As the scope of these projects expanded and funding needs increased, it became clear that Tesoros could no longer support everything on its own.
In 2022, this led to the creation of a U.S.-based foundation to help sustain and grow these vital efforts.
institutions in active conservation, the La Reserva Biopark Foundation, to further enhance our efforts.
What we do?
Direct interventions, often involving communities, to address conservation problems through activities like thoughtful habitat preservation, habitat restoration and research
We promote healthy, balanced, and protected ecosystems that meet the needs of both humans and wildlife
